Jebel Ali, Dubai
The default discharge port for most of our UAE enquiries, and the one to name if your buyer has not specified. Onward re-export into the wider Gulf is straightforward from here.
Khalifa Port, Abu Dhabi
Quoted on the same terms. Name it at enquiry if your warehouse or clearing agent sits on the Abu Dhabi side.
Port Khalid, Sharjah
Quoted CFR or CIF. Useful where the consignee is repacking in one of the Sharjah industrial areas.
Fujairah
Quoted on request. East coast discharge, outside the Strait of Hormuz.
Saqr Port, Ras Al Khaimah
Quoted on request for buyers already handling bulk agricultural cargo through RAK.
Port of loading
Named at quotation, not fixed in advance. It is selected on the sourcing region for your lot, which is what keeps the inland leg short.
India to the UAE is one of the shorter lanes out of the subcontinent. The sailing schedule and transit are confirmed with the booking rather than promised in advance, because both move with the service and the season.

What travels with the consignment

- Commercial invoice and packing list.
- Bill of lading, carrying the container seal number.
- Certificate of origin.
- Phytosanitary certificate from the plant quarantine authority.
- Certificate of analysis for the specific lot, issued by the testing laboratory in its own name.
- Fumigation certificate where the booking or your buyer requires one.
- Insurance certificate on CIF terms.
- Any additional document your letter of credit calls for, prepared to the wording in the credit.
Your side to confirm
Clearing a food consignment into the UAE is the importer’s process, not ours, and the requirements change. Confirm these with your clearing agent before the contract is signed, and we will prepare the shipment to match.
- Your food import registration and permit, and whether the consignee of record differs from the buyer.
- The minimum remaining shelf life the UAE will accept at import. Tell us the threshold and we will date-code and schedule the lot to meet it.
- Arabic labelling for anything sold at retail. We print private-label packs to your approved artwork, so the Arabic and English copy is signed off by you before the run.
- Whether your bank or authority wants the certificate of origin attested, and by whom.
- Any residue limit your buyer applies that is stricter than the Indian standard. Where one is stricter, it governs the contract.
We do not give customs or regulatory advice for the destination market, and we will not tell you a rule is satisfied when it is your agent who decides that. What we do is prepare the file, the packing and the lot to the requirement you confirm.

Working to the UAE week
The desk runs 09:00 to 19:00 IST, Monday to Friday, which overlaps the full UAE working week. Enquiries are answered within one business day. Buyers elsewhere in the Gulf on a Sunday to Thursday week are covered on their Sunday.
Samples are couriered at cost with the certificate of analysis for the current lot, and loading proceeds only on your written approval of that sample.

- CFR or CIF, and the target shipment month.

- Any tolerance or residue limit tighter than our published specification.
That is enough for a written offer. Anything missing we will ask for rather than assume.
