This is a business-to-business trade website. It exists to receive export enquiries and to publish our specifications and terms.
What we collect
Only what you type into the enquiry form or send us directly: company name, contact name, country, business email, phone number, the products and quantity you are asking about, destination port, preferred Incoterm, target shipment month and your message.
Why we hold it
To answer your enquiry, issue a quotation, and keep a record of the correspondence for the life of any resulting contract and for the period our tax and export records must be retained.
Who sees it
Our trade desk. Where a shipment goes ahead, the details necessary to execute it are shared with the parties who need them: the freight forwarder, the shipping line, the inspection agency you appoint, the testing laboratory and the banks handling the payment instrument. We do not sell contact details and we do not pass them to advertisers.
Cookies and analytics
Nothing is loaded and no cookie is set unless you accept it. When you first arrive you are asked once whether we may measure how the site is used. Decline, or ignore the question, and no analytics script is ever fetched. The site works identically either way.
If you accept, we load Google Analytics 4. It sets cookies in your browser and tells us which pages were viewed, roughly where in the world the visit came from, which site or search you arrived from, and what device you used. Your IP address is truncated before it is stored. We use it to see whether buyers are finding the specification and product pages, nothing more. We do not run advertising scripts, we do not build advertising audiences, and we do not sell or share this data.
We record when someone clicks a WhatsApp or email link, or submits the enquiry form, so we can tell which pages produce enquiries. Only the fact that it happened is sent. Nothing you type into the form, and no address or message text, ever reaches Google.
WhatsApp trade updates
The enquiry form has an optional, unticked box asking whether Rare Millets may send you occasional trade updates on WhatsApp: new crop availability, allocation openings and changes to the published specification. Leave it unticked and we will only reply to your enquiry. Ticking it is not required to get a quotation and has no effect on the terms you are quoted.
If you tick it, we keep the record of that consent with your enquiry. Reply STOP to any update, or write to trade@raremillets.com, and we will remove you. We do not pass your number to anyone else.
You can change your mind at any time.
Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives the request as an ordinary web request. That happens whatever you choose, and sets no cookie.
Your request
Write to trade@raremillets.com to ask what we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted where we are not required to keep it.
